.357SIG barrels/CZ100
« on: October 21, 2002, 10:09:58 AM »
I contacted CZ-USA about the .357Sig barrel conversion for the CZ100 .40S&W and they said maybe they would have it by next fall, but not a definite. That would be nice , huh?
Now, there is a barrel manufacturer but the name doesn't come to mind, did I see it in the Brownells catalog? I'm sure there would have to be a large enough demand for anybody to start making these barrels, so if anybody is interested, start writing now.

Bar-Sto makes replacement barrels for the CZ-75 in .357SIG.... I bet they could get a -100 barrel out faster then CZ.

I don't want to throw a cold towel on this subject, but Kev has been asking Bar-Sto for this for at least a year.  Without some real major interest, I don't think this will happen..

Can some one please explain the advantage of the .357sig over a .40 caliber? I just don't see it.

Frankly its a simple comparison, money penny.  Its the newer and faster part of the aruement in the light and fast vs slow and heavy.  Just take the differences ballistically between the 9mm / 45 acp crowd and split it down the middle.  Ive seen what a Sig does to bottle filled with water....its quite spectacular.  But no more than Corbon 135gr 40's....IMO, honestly I cant say if its got "a killer advantage or not"
IMO, its just the new magic bullet...it was developed to mimic the ballistics of the infamous 357 Mag....teaching a new kind of dog the same old tricks.  Alot of people sware by them...personally Ive shot them alot.  The 40 and a good +P 9mm are right up there and I can find ammo anywhere..and afford it also.
Shoot well
