I finally made it to the range on a moments notice this weekend. Work can really suck sometimes. Anyway I was shooting my 75BD and it was working fine as usual. To my right were two guys running a Glock 17 gen 3. They were shooting away and all of a sudden they stopped. A second later I hear "So much for Glock's legendary reliability" as they were clearing a malfunction. To make matters worse for them I was shooting a lot further out and still getting better groups than they were. Yet again I am convinced that CZ is as reliable or more so than anything else out there.

I don't want to start or encourage a Glock bashing thread - those are all over the 'net, but I will say I've had several Glocks fail on me - to be completely truthful one was an abused range rental and two others were abused Dept issued range qualification sidearms. Still can't stand the things...

Any Mechanical item can fail given enough abuse or neglect, and every so once in awhile, some lemons get thru by most any manufacturer.

You can't 'really' bash Glocks if you look at the National competition standings;  but it sure is hard to like such an ugly pistol.

I'm actually OK with Glocks, they are very good pistols as a whole despite being ugly(and I don't shoot that well with them). It just drives me nuts when I read on the internet and hear from people who never shoot how a Glock will never fail and everything else is a malfunction waiting to happen. Therefore I just get a little sick sense of humor when they prove they are made by us mere mortals.

There is that - the Armorer I worked with last year was like that, all but had "Glock Perfection" tattooed on his rear end, and never wasted an opportunity to put me down for liking CZ. He's also no longer the Armorer. 
1SOW, I think CZs hold an edge over the Glock team internationally, but I'm guessing from what little I hear about competition. Probably should ask Angus.

Now days, it seems that every other guy at the range has a Glock....which is GREAT
That mean I can show-up every other guy; with my CZ

Nationally, USPSA.  Internationally, IPSC.

At the last Nationals, If (big if) I remember correctly,  CZ (Matt Mink) placed second in Production class,  but I think Glock won more classes.
Maybe Angus will update us.

I owned a Glock Mdl 22 a few years ago and it WAS a nice gun. One thing I do remember, is that it didn't like cheap ammo, especially semi wad cutters. I used to get all kinds of malfunctions, unless i was shooting expensive rounds (Silvertips and Black Talons it loved) and not cheap reloads or practice ammo. Lots of stove pipes and failures to feed, but it was accurate.
