Just found the most awesome thing at a gun show today!
« on: February 19, 2012, 07:21:21 PM »
They were selling 32-round Pro-mags for the CZ-75 at a local gun show today, so i picked one up for a measly $35. It loads and ejects just fine, but it adds (what feels like) 1 or 2 more lbs to the gun when fully loaded. Can't wait to shoot with this beast!

I have one for another gun, mine does not feed reliably.

Let us know how it works out.

Do you really need a 32 rd mag in a pistol?Plus it has to be heavy. I live in a commie state with mag  restrictions wish I could have a 32 rd mag in a rifle. You guys in free states have it made.

i saw a bunch of those at the December show, some were plastic some were metal and some weren't promag. I almost got the 28er but couldn't find one that felt worth it.

Although even the 32ers were less then 25$....

More of a status "Looks what i gots me" then practical for sure.

32 rounds of loaded 9mm Luger with 147gr Berry's plated FMJ, Winchester brass, Winchester primers and 3.5grs of Alliant Green Dot weight just under one pound. I would have bet 32 rounds of 9mm weighed more than that.  32 rounds of loaded Speer Gold Dot 230gr 45 ACP weighs around 1.5 pounds.

If your Hi Cap ProMag Magazines get a bit iffy in function, you can replace the Springs and Followers and get them really going.  For Springs in these really long extended Magazines, I've read that some SMG Mag Springs will work.  Not sure which ones.

Another fan of Alliant Green Dot for reloading 9mm, here!  I've gotten some great loads out of that powder!

I haven't had a chance to shoot the 9mm with the Green Dot yet, got about 200 rounds loaded with different bullets though and this will be my first test with Berry's plated bullets.  The Green Dot did well in the 45, clean, accurate, and I plan on trying it in my 9mm Makarov soon.

Well, I went and shot with it the other day. I did experience feeding problems. My only guess was that the follower or the mag spring were the culprit. I'm probably going to buy a 75B mag follower and drop that in and try it that way. If not, then I'll have to call Pro-Mag about it. I really hate this, as i'm sure it's fun to shoot with...especially if you have a class 3 version  O0  .  I also experienced a rather odd puff of smoke come from the barrel after a few shots using the rgular mags loaded with regular Federal 9's. Any reason for this? or was it just the powder build up?
