Picture of CZ75B with LPA sights installed?
« on: March 13, 2012, 02:38:36 PM »
I'm considering installing LPA SPR adjustable sights on my CZ but I'm concerned about the height of the front sight.  Can anyone direct me to a pic of a CZ75 with the sights installed?  Thanks.

Wow, that really looks strange!  I wonder if you really need that much front sight or if you could crank down the rear and trim the front a little.  Any one know how tall that front is?

This the one without cutting the slide, it is used for ISSF shooting.

There are two LPA sights available for non-cut slides.  One is a high sight that has the adjustment mechanism above the slide.  This one requires a very tall front sight that won't always allow the gun to fit in a holster.  The second is a low profile sight where the mechanism is hung off the rear of the slide.  This one looks weird but actually works super and uses the front sight of stock height.  I have one of these ordered for my CZ75B and will install it next weekend and post photos.  Here is a photo of the overhung sight on my SIG P226.  The one for the CZ should be similar.

The sight works fine...

I don't think the TPU low profile sight overhangs the back of the CZ like it does on the Sig pictured above.

FF1063--I hope you are right about the CZ version of the TPU sight not overhanging so much!  My TPU should be here in a day or so, I'll post a photo after I get it installed.

The Sig's dovetail is farther back than the CZ's, so it overhangs more on the Sig.

Less overhang will make a barely acceptable sight option on a SIG a good one on a CZ.

Here is what the LPA TPU07 sight looks like on my CZ75B, fits a lot better than the one on the SIG above!

Just got back from the outdoor windy range and the new CZ with the new LPA TPU sight zeroed in just fine with the standard height CZ front sight.  I have a Dawson fiber optic front coming, then the gun will have sights almost identical to my P226.  As the photos above indicate, the LPA rear sight really fits the CZ better than it does the SIG, so this is a plus.

Loaded--cool!

I put the fiber optic front sight in today, also springs and grips, so tomorrow should be fun.

Gun zeroed again fine with the Dawson front FO sight, so the sight picture is now very close to what I see through the sights on the SIG P226.

Sights fixed.  Done.
