Magazine for the CZ100 40s&w
« on: April 11, 2012, 09:17:59 PM »
Had a customer call up and I did not know the answer

Do any of the current CZ 40SW magazine offerings fit and function in the CZ100 40SW gun?

thanks for any info.

No, they are not interchangable. The only magazine that will fit the CZ100 .40 is the CZ100 magazine.

ProMag used to make CZ100 mags in 40 S&W. Don't know if they still do. I know they have a pretty bad reputation, but the two mags I purchased from them for one of my CZ100s (.40) have functioned fine.

Good shooting.

I also have a couple of ProMags along with my factory mags. The only thing I don't like about the ProMags is the top edge of the base plate doesn't fit flush with the bottom of the grip, but has about a 3/32" gap.
Overstock.com currently has factory mags for about $49 incl s&h.

I have three production magazines and 2 pro mags (or vice versa, I don't remember off the top of my head).  The both have the gap.  All 5 function fine.

Mine all function fine, but the two from ProMag have a metal base plate and the larger gap, all four factory ones have the plastic base plate and virtually no gap.

I've actually purchased two original factory mags for my .40 S&W CZ 100 on FleaBay for $35.45 each (plus sales tax). I know that they had at least one 9mm mag out there also.

compact and full size CZ .40 mags including pre-B, will fit and lock into my CZ 100.  i have tried them all.  .40 Tac Sport (or TS), and RAMI mags will not work.  the slide will not stay open on the last round fired however.  with a little bit of investigation i found that if the follower is modified (or the slide catch for that matter) a bit where the slide catch contacts the follower on a new factory mag it will hold open however.  its probably better to just buy the off brand, but I just wanted you all to know.  I will test fire through all different fitting mags in the next week or two and re-post results.
