C&R problem
« on: April 21, 2012, 04:46:29 PM »
OK, here is my problem.  I had this problem before joining this forum and after joining this forum and reading the posts it only got worse.

I have my C&R and have bought two CZ-82's.    Then, I started to look around for a different type of pistol to buy.  My problem is that, in my opinion, there are no other C&R eligible pistols out there that hold a candle to the CZ-82.  I look at them all, and then always come back to the CZ-82.  Why should I buy something that is just going to sit in the safe while I go and shoot the CZ-82?

It's just not fair.

What to do?  I need help.

I've sort of thought the same thing, Joe.   :-\  Perhaps our sights are just too narrow. LOL

Hooooboy, bad pun.   O0

Dan,

Yes, the CZ-82 is my favorite gun.  :-)

Buy a Polish P-64. It is a great little pistol, perfect for pocket carry, and it fires 9x18 Makarov just like the CZ-82.

To me, a P-64 is a good at being a pocket pistol as the CZ-82 is at being an accurate all-around utility shooter!

Well I'd recommend that you look at a CZ 52 and a CZ 50. Both are very cool and a hoot to shoot! (Both are C&R eligible). Oh, if you're lucky you might find a CZ 45 (.25 acp) or a CZ DUO (also .25 acp).  Then there's the CZ 24's and CZ 27's, both a little tough to find.

Walther P-1s are fun too, IMHO.  Also they shoot the super common 9mm Luger cartridge.  I still prefer my CZ-82, it is just so comfortable to shoot.  I also have the p-64 that I CCW in rotation with my .38 LCR.

I don't see where anyone is selling the other pistols except for the P-64 and the Luger looking 9mm para. Are there places selling the other CZ's?

Most people don't seem real happy about those Polish guns. I'll have to look those over again. Oh yeah, there is the Russian Naget pistol. That looks like fun, except for ammo costs.

Let your typing fingers do the walking :D I found all of the old milsurp CZ's, except the CZ 45, over on www.gunsamerica.com I'd be willing to bet that you'll also find them at www.Gunbrokers.com and www.auctionarms.com as well.
