Anyone else experience this? After shooting a several rounds with the CZ82, I start to notice that there is a little irritation of the skin area between the thumb and forefinger. Nothing severe and no abrasions to the skin seen. Just the sense of something sharp hitting that area of skin.
I noticed it initially when I was shooting a friend's CZ82 and now that I have my own, the same thing. It's not a point of complaint at all. Just an observation. I really do feel that my grip is proper on the gun and my shots are true and no shot malfunctions of any sort experienced.
Examining mine closely this morning I think I see the source of the skin contact. The underside of the safety where it straddles the dovetail of the frame below the hammer is just a little deeper than the frame part at this point. The bottom inner edges of the safety are sharper and the edge can be felt extending beyond the smooth side of the frame metal.
I'm wondering about very slightly smoothing those two edges down just a little. Not enough to change any of the contour or the surface of the safety bottom. Just taking a little sharpness off of the inside edges.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
