Hello everyone,
I am new to the forum and to CZ handguns too.  The story goes something like this.
I placed an order for one exactly one day before Thanksgiving 2011. I was able to pick it up one day before Mother's day 2012.  CZs were nowhere to be found in the San Diego area and its neighboring cities, but I finally own one and what a gun it is...
I was first introduced to one by a buddy of mine and I could not believe how accurate this baby was.  It is definitely the most accurate semi-automatic pistol I own.

On mother's day after having spent some time with family and a couple hours before my local shooting range closed, I could not wait anymore and had to go shoot it.  The targets I used were printed on a regular 8.5"x11" sheets with a shootnC target in the center of it to be able to see the shots.

The first picture below if of the very first 10 rounds shot with the SP-01 at 25 feet.  This handgun is for sure more accurate that I am:

This second picture is of my best 10 rounds shot at the same distance of 25 feet:

And last by not least, I wanted to see how I did at 30 feet:

Here it is with the Surefire X300:

With the Streamlight TLR-1

I am definitely hooked on CZs now to the point that I am starting to think what my next one will be and this gun doesn't even have more than 150 rounds through it.
I am leaning towards the P-01... what do you guys think?

Thank you
Wil

I think that one ragged hole is impressive.  Good shooting with a very good pistol.

I love my P-01, it's my every day carry gun. It has more than 1500 rounds through it so far and not a single malfunction.

By the way, who manufactures those holsters you have for your SP-01?

Outstanding shooting, well done sir!  I love seeing how well the person+platform performs.

Also, +1 on the Holster question, I fear I may require one myself...

This is the reason that I love my SP-01 and would choose it over the other CZsn not that they are not as good just that the SP-01 makes me look good.  My targets look the same at 7-10 yards....have not honed my skills to the level of 25 yards but I am working on it.

That is some awesome shooting!!

Congrats on finally getting your CZ, and welcome.  Perhaps your screen name provides a clue as to the origins of that nice looking holster......

Now send that baby off to the CZ Custom Shop and have the competition hammer installed to bring that trigger pull down to 3.5 lbs and lose the creep!

Since Criminals will always have guns, there’s no reasonable expectation of self-defense if law-abiding citizens don’t have them, too.

Very good shooting, sir! And welcome to the forum.

You are making my next CZ purchase harder, and harder. Do I get the compact, SP-01, CZ 83, P-01, PCR, or 97B?  :-\

Continue your enjoyment of your long-awaited purchase! Keep the range reports and pictures coming!

Thank you everyone.  These handguns are just one of the best ones out there, and I am glad to have found a group that shares my appreciation for them.
In regards to the holsters, unfortunately, in this market where holsters' manufacturers sometimes do not get to make one for your particular handgun model, especially with a rail tactical light attached to it, you have to sort of learn on your own and make them yourself.  This is what happened with me, and I make my own holsters now.  I have also made a few for other fellow shooters who have shown interest in them and are very to be satisfied with my work.

Thanks again.

I guess this is one of the "ADVANTAGES" (if we can call it that...) of living in sunny CA... we just do not have the array of model choices other parts of the country have, consequently, our choices are just narrow. :-[

Amen to that...
Usually I have found that I need to re-adjust my grip after a few shots fired with a polymer handgun, but with this baby, I can go through the entrie magazine and maintain the same grip I set from the beginning.

Congrats its a really nice pistol. I imagine it was worth the wait.

Looking at the photos, I think I would prefer that safety to the one on my shadow which always seems to get in the way.
