Blemished P-07s on sale for $369 (advert on slickguns.com)
« on: July 13, 2012, 09:32:25 PM »
I saw a link off slickguns.com to a sale on green framed P07s at $369.  http://www.gunenvystore.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=0&products_id=16489

Seems like a good deal but I want to get a 75 or SP series.

My apologies if linking to a sale is against the rules - I could find no prohibition on the FAQ.

Almost $100 less hmm I wonder what kind of "blemishes" we're talking about here? Has there been any word on when these will become available again? I tried ordering one from my LGS but was told that they were on back order. Id really like to get my hands on one before next year. But I'm not sure about ordering blemished guns online without seeing them first.

Here's their FB page -- https://www.facebook.com/gunenvy

I asked if Gun Envy could post a pic of the blemish. This is their response -- "Posting a pic would literally do no good. CZ claims the finish is not up to their standards, but you cannot see a problem. We sold one today, that the "scratch and dent" was a crack in the box that it came in."

For $100 less than retail it may be worth the risk. Here's the pic on their website. The steel slide does look kinda faded grey instead of black. I guess that's what they were referring to when they said the finish is not up to CZ standards.

Bought one earlier in the week.  Not a huge fan of the P07, but at the price I couldn't say no and I need a pistol.  Was supposed to pick it up from my not so local gun shop, free transfers, but they closed early today so I'll have to wait until monday.  Once I pick it up I'll strip it down and see what I can find as far as blems go.

AHHHH IT'S SO TEMPTING!!!

But I'm obsessive and know whatever the blemish was I'd dwell on it. I think the extra $100 is worth it for my sanity but it's not really the money that concerns me it's the possible wait until more of these become available. Does anyone have any idea when the next run may be? My LGS say CZ is way behind.

CZ-USA gets a shipment once a week from the Czech Republic and distributes them to various dealers accordingly. Best way to find the CZ you want is to 1.) go to your LGS and place an order and get in line and/or 2.) look around the internet and hope you find what you want.

I posted this earlier in this thread. If you want a brand new perfect P-07 OD Green this website says they have 3 in stock for $453.00 http://www.damascusgunshop.com/shop/pistols/cz-p-series/cz-p-07-duty-9mm-od-green.html

Jim,

I completely missed your first post with that website. Thanks. All 3 of my LGS wouldn't allow me to place an order and get in line on one. 1 store said all orders had to come through corporate. Another said ordering a back ordered weapon was impossible and the last looked at me like I was an alien. I like to physically hold the gun before I buy it but I may have to get this one on line.

Wow that's crazy.  :o  Virtually every day someone on CZ-USA's Facebook page complains about not finding what they want and asks what can they do to get one. CZ-USA always says to place an order through their LGS to ensure a place in line if/when what they want comes in from the Czech Republic.

Also, it wouldn't hurt to check out local gun shows. I found my P-01 at a local gun show a few months ago.

Thanks GAC, Waiting on mine. I will post once I pick it up and inspect it. When I ordered Saturday they had 5 left.

GAC you got me to find the CZ Forum and join up. Thanks for this post and my first CZ. I'm coming from a G19 which I absolutely dislike holding in my hand.

Hey guys. A "blemish" that is advertised is the grey like color on the P-07 slide? If so, my brand new P-07 duty threaded barrel model has a grey like slide not a deep black finish.

Can anyone advise? Also, does anyone have a pic from the top looking down onto the frame that may show the "bulge"? My gun is a B serial numbered unit.

Well, USPS attempted delivery on Saturday, but the shop closed early.  I went up to the shop today and USPS did not redeliver the package.  The guys had no idea what I was talking about so I guess they didn't get the missed delivery slip?  I was able to go online and schedule a re-delivery so hopefully it comes in tomorrow.

The downside is I don't know if I can get off early enough to pick it up tomorrow.  I gave them my contact info and told them to call when it comes in.  I also signed up for the delivery confirmation.  The other thing is I probably won't be able to take ownership immediately as I seem to get a delayed response on the back ground checks.  I don't have anything on my background, but I end having to wait three or four days instead of five minutes.

Anyway when I finally get it I will take pics and post my impressions.

For future, I would suggest getting a CCW permit. It will allow you more freedom with the transportation of firearms and there are no background checks. In my state, purchasing a firearm with a CCW is a breeze.
