new P-07 .40 owner... sic to my stomach...
« on: August 01, 2012, 12:41:43 PM »
Saturday I traded A perfectly good M&p .40c for a p07. I put 100 rounds with the slide continually locking back. Shop swapped out the mags and I went back today to test the mags.. still locking back but on round 46 trigger stops working in DA.  And sometimes released the hammer on SA. I put one into the ceiling (down range) because the hammer released itself.   Its on its way back to CZ but I have no confidence in it now and this replaced my main carry...

You know I'm not sure what CZ does with these when they have this issue or how they function after they get back to the owner but this is a common problem with the 40 (or rather when someone has a problem this is commonly it) I was looking to get the 40 because I liked the 9 so much but decided to stay away after hearing about these problems.

Someone did post a fix(or what he said was a fix) on these boards or the other cz forums that invoked sanding down part of the slide catch that gets engaged by the magazine follower. Suppoosedly the outer edge is being caught by the ammo, forcing the slide catch to engage the slide. May be worth tracking down the thread. Who knows, that may be what cz does to fix them.

Sorry to hear about the issues. I know it's very frustrating when a brand new pistol has them.

The busted trigger is the issue giving me the puckers.

Hate to say this but there have been numerous problems reported with the P-07 in .40 S&W (nobody seems to have any real problems with the 9mm P-07). On the bright side CZ-USA will take care of you. I hear nothing but good things about their customer service.

They took care of my .40 just fine  ::)
No, they didnt. The gun jammed a lot since I got it back from them when the trigger bar spring came out. Sent it in again, they said it shot fine. I shot it some more, more jams. Was using the ammo they shot too when they tested it. Sold it, getting a Sig 2022 as a carry cause i can't trust the cz.. It's only 400-460$ online.. Look it up if you're still having problems.
