How to remove fire pin stress on cz bolt action rifles?

To relieve the firing pin, do you depress the trigger while closing the bolt? Or do you cycle the action and dry fire to relieve pressure on the firing pin?

I dry fire.

I haven't tried pulling the trigger while closing the bolt.

I can't see where it would make a difference on a center fire.
I had the right to remain silent...

but not the ability.

Thanks.

I spoke with a friend who is an Army Ranger and before a Ranger was a sniper, he said to depress the trigger while closing the bolt to relieve pressure and many bolt actions are similar, just wanted to make sure as my luck would be my rifle is the .00001 % that you're not supposed to do that to.  :-\

Yes. It works just like a Mauser 98, because basically, that is what it is.

Yes, that's what I do with my 527M; that way the sear doesn't catch as the bolt closes, and the spring never compresses. No harm whatsoever.

I do the same.

I used to store the bolts separate from the rifles (same safe, different compartment) and would un-cock the bolts by rotating the shroud by hand. It's easy enough to re-cock by hand too - I'm talking about a 550 though. A standard Mauser 98 is very difficult to re-cock by hand, and it takes manipulation with a screwdriver.
