Compact mag question?
« on: December 01, 2001, 05:38:39 PM »
I have seen the "holy grail" threads...are there any hi caps left anywhere?  I have heard that standard 75 mags work, but
hang out 10mm.  Has anyone ever tried the 15 rnd hi caps from the 75 and using something similar  a "glock" slip cover
for the extra below the handle on the mag?  Or have I been
smoking my lunch again?  Shoot well

No, but that's an idea. BTW, how do you smoke a leftover turkey sandwich?

Actually the turkey was smoked...does that count?
I will play with this idea ,I am a salesman for machine shop.
When I get a cz 75 hi cap to see how compatible it is with
the compact. I will look into machining or finding a sleave/jacket to slip between the bottom of the grip and magazine. It will have to be just right ...it is going on a cz
after all.  shoot well

I've got three factory new in the wrapper compact mags that I just listed in the next issue of Gunlist. I also have 1 aftermarket (don't know what brand) that holds 14 rounds.

To be honest,I can't remember what I've got them priced at. They are probably in $80-$90 range. If I don't sell them I might come down in price.I'm not trying to gouge anyone if that's you're thinking. If someone buys all of them I will probably knock a little off or pay the shipping.

The 15 round mags will work in a PCR and don't stick out far enough to worry about a filler.  The only problem I had was the SO at the IDPA match always hollering at me to check my mag to make sure it was seated.

I am going to get a 15 rnd..and see how it fits/hangs out.  If
I make some killer aluminum pcs to go over the mag...slip cover?  Would any one want one...they would be machined one off....Shoot well

I have them listed for $90 in the Gunlist.Three factory & one aftermarket that looks like it's well made.$80 each & I'll pay shipping if you don't live half a world away & you buy all three.$35 for the aftermarket & you can return them if you don't like them but I won't cover the return shipping. Will trade for VZ83 hicaps in 7.65 or .380 but not one for one.

Check the classifieds section.  I bought a factory hi cap for the compact for $65 from mags4sale just 3 weeks ago.  I know for sure he sold 2 of the 3 he had then.  Don't know what he has left now.
