ps.

forgot to include.. the thin AL grips with the inner tube trick.. makes it really grippy/fit the hand well.  have done it to all my cz's and PMR30 now. luv it.

cheers

caleb,

wish i could, but don't have the camera to do so,  also my 40B is pretty ugly right now.. as I am/have reshaped the metal to fit my hand and thus have natural point/grip. plan to send to get gunkoted and make one color again! :),  while I shy from 'spring' work, i don't mind doing metal re-work at all.  (coming from a upland bird dog background with high quality SxS's that are fit to shoot instinctively where I point.. thus   may yet do so on my cz75 and P06 with the beavertail which needs a slight tweak for improved fit, IMHO.  but much less so than the 40B.

when i can, i will though. thanks for asking.
kevin

OOh, SxS........Drool, i love the look of those shotguns! I have an Ithica M87 I recently baught off a freind for..........wait for it................................................$150! Beautiful shotgun, but haven't had the time to shoot it yet.

caleb,
does yours have a upswept beavertail or the flat one?   mine has the flat one.. and it is the only thing I don't like on mine.. soo, i took the file to it today (as I did to the 40B to enhance the fit/grip)   it is really sweet now.. removed metal from under to make it look upswept and removed some from sides to enhance hitting safety/mag button.

like it even more than before. and thanks for the encouragement to do the springs/trigger job myself per CGW items.. I will also be purchasing a 'ghost ring' from CGW based on his recent PCR conversion.

cheers,
kevin

ps. let me know what holsters you go with. I am considering several at this time. but being the 'dutch' person I am, I am trying to find a system that fits all of my CZ's and the kel tech PMR30

I have the flat version. I would love to see your metal work, so get a new camera! LOL.........

If you can take a file to your pistol like that, then you can easily replace "drop in" parts, I have faith.....do it. ( I'm not responsible if you mess up, tho. LOL).

As far as holsters.........i don't know yet. this will be a range/target/steel challenge pistol, so I won't be concerned about concealability. I really like the Fobus "paddle" holsters, they are around $25 and perform awesome. But, I will research them more after I mod up the pistol. I will let you know what I go with (if I remember, I suffer from CRS).

ps.

forgot to include.. the thin AL grips with the inner tube trick.. makes it really grippy/fit the hand well.  have done it to all my cz's and PMR30 now. luv it.

cheers
kevin

I have seen said trick on other pistols, cheap and easy. Thanks for the tip. Alltho, I feel strongly drawn to the VZ Grips made for these fine pistols.

PS: What is this "Ghost Ring" I keep reading about that seems to be the bees knees?

Hey Kevin, I did not recieve your response message. Try again if you'd like and I'll see if it goes through.

I'll try a search and see what the buzz is about, thanks.

Ok, did some research. I thought "ghost ring" soinded familiar, as I have similar sites on two of my rifles. Looks very promising and I'm interested. Not sure I like the "look" of it, but I'm liking the site picture.

ha!  good ones!

actually i spoke with Goshen mfg/Hexsite guy 2 days ago.. they only make em for the Glock pistol.. with LOTS of re-work they can be made to fit Cz's.

thus, I am going to work with CGW on the PCR 'similiar' ghost ring.. what do you think? the FO sight or go with a Mepro NS?

cheers

actually,
see my PM,  but suffice to say.. ghost rings.. GREAT for self defense (see the referenced info in PM), also the hexsight's are superior as well for self defense,  many guys (military/police) are/have changed to hexsites for self defense work and protection work.

givem a call.   almost makes me want a glock/2x4.

cheers

I ordered some parts on Friday, just waiting patiently. OK, not so patiently....LOL.

I detail stripped the Beast so i can polish up the trigger parts as per a couple of how-to threads here and youtube. As usual when removing the trigger pin, it bent all to hell. So, I was going to order a replacement when all of a sudden......my cart was full of parts! Oh well, can't throw them back so I hit the order button.

Waiting on: Upgraded trigger pin, ultra-light DA kit, Lighter trigger return spring, and something else i can't remember (CRS syndrome).

Welcome to the club, have had my 85C 4 weeks now and it is addicting. Do yourself a favor and buy 1000 rounds and go to it.
Since I live in NJ, those 10 round mags will look great in my gun. You won't need yours once you get your 19 r mags.
I take donations.   ;)
Life is SHORT. What will be your legacy?
