Yep, and it's about time. Smith had the LadySmith out for years, and Taurus with several grips "aimed" at female buyers. The trend for smaller/more concealable started by the AWB spilled into a very wide open market, and one that needed to see expansion, if nothing else for the protection of our lovely ladies.

Agree with you armoredman.  I think there is a market for female shooters that could be tapped by a savvy manufacturer or two.

Yes they did and do.  Taurus not only had some eye-catching grips aimed at lady buyers, but they also have some "Pink" guns for them as well.  My tastes run mostly Basic Black, so luminescent Pink, Green, and Yellow don't exactly appeal to me.

I have two regular 24/7's, one each in 9mm and .45 ACP.

Taurus is in the process of switching over from the original generation 24/7's to the 24/7 G2 models, but I expect that they will have models of those for the ladies.

I'm very pleased to see more manufacturers coming out with feminine pistol makes, options, and so many aftermarket parts available. Us girls generally like to accessorize... so I'm very happy that I can girl-i-fy my guns... just so my husband won't want to shoot them ;)

If I understand, some says than a women will be more tempted by a sweet colored gun, like pink.  Does it mean the Desert Eagle, which Magnum research sold in pink some years ago are a good choice for women?  If I think like a criminal, I admit than if a women ever draw a DE out of her purse I bleep in my pants, whenever the color he's it...

or

or the hello kitty one:

After a shooting spree, they always want to take the guns away from the people who didn't do it. I sure as hell wouldn't want to live in a society where the only people allowed guns are the police and the military.

I want to see that Hello Kitty version in a movie, especially with the Hello Kitty rounds, too. Actually, should send the photo to those animie guys in Japan - they'd crap themselves.
I saw the tiger striped DE years ago - it's actually a VERY tough finish. I cannot imagine anyone actually CARRYING that, but it will command attention if it gets pulled out! The tiger stripe in 50AE, complete with very expensive navy blue suit, matching cuff links, nice shoes, and $200 sunglasses would definitely make a statement. What KIND of statement I'm not too sure about...

If I remember correctly, the tiger stripe was titanium nitride; the same coating used on high end fishing reels and guide rods.  VERY abrasion resistant.

We need a big mean evil looking professional assassin to carry the Hello Kitty pistol...and his name will be Fluffy. :o ;D

Yes, I think that is the name of the finish.  Crew served pistol, that is.
