Thanks for all the great information.
I think I will go with the CzC comp hammer because I may still want to compete SSP with my Cz someday. Right now I compete ESP and I could do the race hammer in that Division.

The main reason for this is that I bought a used Cz Compact as a backup gun for IDPA competition, and I need to get the hammer/trigger closer to the Shadow I use as primary pistol.

I really love the looks of the Satin Nickel, Blued Slide and Coco-Bolo grips, but by the time I add all the custom work, I am only $80 away from just buying a new Shadow!!!

But I also wonder if I can shoot The compact as well as the full-sized...they are not that much shorter or lighter.

Any thoughts or recommendations? I am thinking of doing it just so I have a compact since I am a Cz enthusiast.

If I ever sell it, will I get back my investment? (I am pretty sure I can get back most of my money on the Shadow, but modified Compact?)

Thanks again for great info.

Cody

There is a generation of the CZC hammer where the depth was increased.
This was to increase longevity and improve the ability to fit the hammer to the sear.

I think most people forget that with the way CNC technology is these days that fitting may still be needed. I think we have a note that gunsmith fitting may be needed

That explains it. Also, it does leave room if the gun itself was cut in the 'other' direction!
