My plan was to take a break from new purchases having 6  (52, 53 & 54 in park and blue).

I knew about the chrome and made a decision to pass...but then you had to go and post a picture that shows just how fantastic the chrome looks.  I just didn't know they looked that great...and I can envision how nice custom wood grips are going to look on that chrome beauty.

So back to saving for a new purchase...worse yet the chrome is such a stand out there will be no hiding it from my wife!

Thanks for the comments!! I hate those bakelite grips. I'm going to photoshop the grips from makarov.com onto the photo to see how the different ones look.

You may already be aware but there are several other grip options out there.

I have purchased grips from Nick Ozanich (nozanich@kent.edu) and Shawn Riani (aka zeeborg geospacesr@hotmail.com) with great results from both.

Nick works in wood and Shawn can make an exact copy of the bakelite in any color you want.

A sample of Shawn's work:

Here is an old post showing Nick's work:

Thanks for the info. I'm not a fan of the smooth wood grips, I like the checkered ones.  I'm just not sure what looks good against the chrome.

Once you select and add the grips I hope you will share a pic of the results!

I do have one question for you regarding the purchase...does the chrome cz52 from classic ship with a mag and if it does I assume it is NOT chromed...is that correct?

Thanks and Best Regards

2 mags, a holster, and cleaning like most the rest. The mags are not chromed though. Not a big deal since you can't see them but chroming the floorplate would be nice.

How do you find the front sight with the chrome finish?

Whoa!  Classic Arms is right around the corner from me and I never even heard of them.  I knew InterOrdinance was nearby too, but their "walk-in policy" pretty much sucks.  I know where I'm going tomorrow!
