When J& G's first got the caniks -the the TP-9 specifically the selling price was $349.95 and now those are down to $299.95 in about three months. J&G's has 24 of the full size K100 model left -started with 25 and 25 of the compact left started with 25 no compacts sold yet. If they have these listed for a month and don't sell any additional pistols you will see this price come down . I would jump on one of these in a heartbeat at a $400.00 price range. For $399.00 I can get another canik 120 model cz clone from budsgunshop or a canik shark compact
model for $409 or $419.00 in hard chrome. If I had and endless budget with which to test pistols with I would buy them all and not worry about price. I would wait and see if J&G's comes down on the price which I believe will occur because when buying in bulk such as their company does it relies on turning product lines over quickly to maintain cash flow coming into the business. Now with that said I like J&Gs and a lot of their prices cannot be beaten by their competitors, I buy product from them now. I am just looking for a better deal on this item so I will wait and see. One of two things will happen they will sell them out at this price or they will mark them down. remember they are getting this item through Century Arms International so they are marking them up. I don't know how much room they have to play with on this item and still make a reasonable profit for their business. Brian / EFR

The more I look at your pictures and reread this thread the more My resistance fades, I really want the compact version the M7 even though I know it would be better to just get the full size version and to wait for a price drop. Brian /EFR

BA, your right about holding out on jgsales the key is watching numbers on stock, and wait for the prices to drop.  just realized on the full size there was 25 available and til now still 24 ???  i guess im the only one that purchased one from them.  but come to think of it the compact size i think will be more well balanced in the hands as compared to any full size in general.   trying to resist buying the compact, cause my vepr 12 will be coming in soon.  need to go to local pharmacy and see if they have anything for this sickness.....LOL

This gun is a hidden gem.

The single action trigger has to be tried to be believed. It has a single action break and reset that rivals a well tuned 1911 right out of the box.

The felt recoil is also something you need to experience.

I shot mine back to back with a CZ SP01 Shadow using the same ammo. (147gr plated over 3.5 gr VV N320).

I was expecting the all steel CZ to kick less and be easier to track target to target.
Instead, I discovered that the K100 actually shot flatter and felt noticeably less snappy.

I had the origional K-100 with the angled trigger guard.
When STI imported them, I bought a copy. It had some subtle design upgrades.
The latest versions with the interchangeable backstraps are hard to put down.

I`m hoping to get the new X-Calibur before Christmas if the Canadian distributor can get them in time to add one to my stocking.

It has a slide and barrel about a half inch longer, and the single action trigger is a little bit lighter.

The shorter P1 version hasn't made it to Canada due to the barrel length. We might get one with a slightly extended barrel.

On the left is the standard K100 hammer group. On the right is the newer X-Calibur. Missing from the picture is the pin that the hammer spring bears on.

I like it.  I'd like it a lot more if the slide was pure black and didn't have all that writing on it though! :)

Your observations were shared by more than one. I'll post pictures of mine when it arrives, but I believe the white highlights to the slide marlings have been deleted.

nice canuck223, the excalibur is sweet.  actually called up century arms after purchasing my k100 in hopes of them importing other gp models.  century told me it really depends on the actual sales of the k100s if it sells well then they might consider other models, the way the sales are goin...not so sure :(  because i want one of this......

not mine but i like the woodland cammo

At this point I'm not sure if the K22 X-Trim will make it on to the Canadian distributors first stocking order, but I want one.

Unlike some of the other .22lr versions of full sized pistols, this one is built on the same frame. It uses a steel slide.
My biggest fear is it might come in too close in price to the S&W M&P22 to sell well. Which would be a shame since it's more a competitor to the CZ Kadet.

At $520 the K100 was kinda overpriced. But now that the price has dropped to $430, and the word is spreading how great these pistols really are, I think sales will start to increase.

The big guy in the picture would be the big guy himself. Jaroslav Kuracina is the designer of the gun and CEO of the company.

The video gives you a good idea of how flat the gun shoots. I believe since this video was made, the new guns come with an improved ejector. I've never had a problem with the origional, but the new version launches the brass a bit further.
