Duotone Compact-a different approach
« on: October 27, 2012, 03:21:33 PM »
I had this old ('94) compact in my safe that needed some attention so I decided to make it 2 tone with a  twist.  Rather than plating the frame, I opted to do just the slide.  Mac's Restorations in Tucson (http://www.shootiniron.com/) plated the slide in satin nickel for a very reasonable price.  The plating came out flawless; it's a softer (less shiny) finish than that found on my duotone CZ 75 .40.
