My new Black Rifle

After the school shooting in CT I put a Bushmaster M4A1 on layaway at my LGS. I was planning on getting it out with my income tax refund. But I heard on the radio this afternoon that some time tomorrow Obama is going to officially announce his new anti-gun measures. And that some, if not all, would be enacted via Executive Order. Not knowing what might happen tomorrow I went ahead and got my new AR out of layaway today.

Good on ya'. Looks nice. I was slow to react. The AR style rifle I want just became available again (and the price did not go up )...back orders are 4 to 8 weeks. *fingers crossed*

I hope to get one when I get my tax return. Currently I'm just baby sitting my brother's fianc?'s Bushmaster until they get a gun safe in their new place. I'm keeping my eyes on it, according to the media it will turn into a killing machine, as of now all it does is sleep in its case but I never know when it could strike...

dont shoot it at all and if i want one later i can buy one, but probalby at a higher price.  chances are, i wont tho since i shoot my 9mm AR waaaaay more.

Are you able to find ammo in your neck of the woods Jim?  At least a couple weeks ago, the shelves were pretty much picked clean of anything in 5.56mm.  I also picked up an AR back in December, but so far it's spent all its time in the safe.

congrats on your purchase, and good to know you got one with all this craziness happening now.  my first ar is also a BM/LE model.  and right before this craziness started happening decided to sell a couple of firearms, and purchased 2 colts.

Has anyone purchased magazines from any of those suppliers? I'm interested in hearing feedback on them, what I found when I googled ASC wasn't very flattering.
