Good one.. No. I mean to some folks the NSN is very important and to others, the CZ75 is very important. There was a certain "status" associated with the number I guess. Would a Picasso painting that was signed by him be rare? Would one proven to be a Picasso but unsigned be less valuable because it was unsigned or more valuable because he forgot to sign it? If it were a Picasso and one was an art lover, would it make a difference? All individual and subjective.

Me? I am not much on Picasso but I do like potato chips.

Just another data point FWIW --- Picked mine up last night.   Test fire date is May 2012, appears to have the GEN 1 slide stop spring, and does have the NSN number.  I really didnt care whether it had the NSN number imprinted - I care a lot more about how it shoots, but I guess having may be a conversation item.

NSN number is funny.
I am the anti label. No labels on any of my bikes even though I like the brand.  Heck I don't even have a sign out for my business, though I have customers asking for  clothing with my labels.

And yet............ when I was buying my P-01. For some reason I wanted the NSN number, it would not have been a deal breaker but I was happy to get one on mine.

Mine has no nsn and the test fire date is Aug 29, 2012, and the sn B128xxx

Just putting in my input, my P01 does have the NSN on the frame, and the date on the test sheet is August 22nd, 2012.

After spending a couple months hunting one down that I was actually able to buy before someone else did $700.00 is not enough for me to part with my P-01.

When I had an old Sig P226 Cerakoted  the gunsmith was able to remove the crudely engraved import mark(CAI ARMS) on the slide. I'm sure a competent smith could engrave you a "reproduction" NSN that would look just dandy!

I would not recommend doing so, for more than one reasons...

im 99% sure, but removing importation marks by an end user is OK (check with the ATF to be sure).   Removing the unique SERIAL numbers is a big NO.

The import mark is still lightly legible, but removing most of the "engraving"( more like gouges) did wonders for the overall look of the slide. As 
far as engraving a reproduction NSN I was being humorous since the OP was so disappointed about not having it.

Mine has the NSN on it....But I gotta tell you before I knew what it was I didn't like it. When I brought it, I just knew I wanted a CZ and I really liked the P01 in 9mm, I liked the steel Raami too, when I found this one I jumped on it....I noticed it after purchase and thought WTF is this other SN.....Kinda like on my Ruger SP101 revolver barrel all the lawyer BS,  but after reading up on what it was it's pretty cool and made me a proud owner....just to add I love this pistol, it's the most reliable and accurate I own! I've been in tight spots money wise where I had to sell a few guns....Glocks went, a few others went But this one is a keeper!
