Custom CZ75 Compact

Dear Angus,

I've been a large admirer of CZ Custom's work and would like to know whether it might be possible to build a custom gun, using both the all-steel CZ75 Compact frame and a CZ PCR slide?  Obviously I would sacrifice the decock capability but I believe the safety + other firing control elements would still function OK, correct? 

I'm interested in ordering such a custom gun, with additional changes, and would greatly appreciate your feedback.

Dacos, I've been wondering the same thing. I just got my compact and am working up a list of Cosmetic changes.

Angus, is it possible to build up the standard cz beavertail and then reshape it to look more like the SP-01's? What would it cost?

Only problem is we don't have any PCR slides.
But yes it can be done.
You would need to buy two guns.

Hello Angus, Thanks for excepting me into the forum! I am a new CZ owner. I bought a CZ 75D Compact PCR at a gun show a few weeks ago. I put about 100 rounds downrange last Saturday and absolutely love the gun.It functioned perfectly which I have never had a brand new gun that didn't have at least one hick-up. I bought it for my primary carry gun after owning many different carry guns. Kimber ultra carry, Khar PM9 customized by Cylinder & Slide, 3 Sigs, P238, P938,P226,Colt Mustang, Colt government 380, (too nice to carry) plus a few more. It's obvious I can't make up my mind. When I picked up the PCR I fell in love! I have small hands and it's the first and only double stack that felt great in my hand, it feels like a natural extension of my hand and it points and shoots much better than I can. My only complaint is the size of the dots on the sights. I have been browsing around looking for replacement sights. I am spoiled to night sights with much larger dots which I can see much better with my aging eyes. Could you please recommend some replacement sights that will fit properly? My gun was made in 2012.

If there any height difference between the tactical rear (standard dovetail) with tritium vs without (plain black)?
I was told to purchase a 5.5mm tritium front to match the plain tactical rear for my P-01, which I haven't got around to installing/testing yet.
Will I have POA/POI issues?

P01 needs a 6.0mm

Why the difference between the PCR and P-01?

If the 5.5mm tritium front doesn't work out with my P-01 w/ tactical rear, could I exchange it for a 6.0mm?
