P07 Replacement Sights

Did you buy the #4 set for the standard CZ 75 ? If so you should have gotten the #5 set.

Yes, they're the cz75 sights. However, if I had gotten the #5 set my POI would be even higher.

All of the standard cz75 Meprolight night sights use a 6mm #5 front sight. The elevation is adjusted by using different height rear sights. A short rear sight will bring your POI down, a taller rear sight will make it go up. I bought the set with the shortest rear sight offered at the cz store because I knew my P07 would be a bit high, considering it had a #1 front sight from the factory.

You have the #5 Meps, they might work just fine for your P07 but they won't for mine. You do have an advantage though, you haven't installed them yet so you might be able to return them if you want.

Sorry you are incorrect. The standard CZ 75 front sight is 5.5mm.I spoke to CZ USA 3 years ago before I purchased them so I would not have the issue you are having and that is the set they recommended. My P-07 hits dead on with them. Lets start over and go from there and I bet we can figure out what you need.
If your P-07 had the original plastic sights on it then there is a number on the bottom of the front sight. What is that number???

The point I was trying to make is that the #4, #5, and #6 night sights for the cz75 from the cz store all have the same height front sight and that the elevation is adjusted by using different sizes of rear sight. #4 being the shortest which translates to #4 having the lowest POI, which is still shooting high on my P07.

If #5 meps work for you, great. The fact is they won't work for me and I am simply passing that info on.

By the way, have you grouped yours at 15 yards or farther? Do you use a 6 O'clock hold? What is the diameter of the targets you shoot? There are a lot of factors to consider. Simply saying "you're wrong" is ignorant.

The statement was that you were incorrect in that the standard front sight size is 6mm. You even admit to not using precision instruments to make this measurment in the first place. You are complaining about a lack of accuracy in the function of your weapon yet you guess at the sight size???  I'm only trying to help figure out your problem but the best thing I can tell you at this point is to call CZ-USA and tell them the problem you have and see what they recommend. By the way my P-07 groups at POA at 15yds which is beyond acceptable for a service grade defensive handgun.

Thanks for trying to help but I found a combination that works. I just got back from the range and the .257 kadet front sight shoots POA/POI.

Also, I don't hold you responsible for the sights that I decided to pay for. I realize the P07 is relatively new and that the aftermarket options/info is slim pickin's. In fact I should thank you for posting the info you did because without it, I would still be running the god forsaken plastic factory sights. So, Thank You Sir!

I wound up putting the Meps on my gun yesterday.  I haven't had a chance to take it to the range to see how it shoots.  Being a new shooter and not very accurate, do I ask someone at the range to "test fire" the gun a few rounds as they are probably a pretty good shot? 

Anyway,  when the original front sight was taken off, it had a 1 on it, not a 5 like some others have said.  Hope I didnt just piss away money on some good sights that are useless.

Shoot the gun from a steady rest and see where POI is compared to POA. If you had a number 1 on your front sight and you ordered the specific tritium set for the P-07 with a number 1 tritium front you should be fine. I've had several P-07's in my possesion and none of them had a stock front sight over number 2. I think you are confusing the standard CZ75B/BD sights with the P-07. Those guns use numbers under the rear sight to adjust POI and 5 is very common on them.

I just put Night Fision Glow Dome front night sight on my P-07. Seems to be a good fit and very visible in daytime and bright glow at night. It is a direct replacement to the factory P-07 sight, so should have the same POI.

I have a P-07 and wrote to Cajun Gun Works to ask if their CGW Slide Racker / Sights (listed under the CZ 75 parts section) could be used on my CZ P-07.  Their response was: "No sir, it would not be tall enough."  So from that response I'm guessing the dimensions on the P-07 sights are in fact different than the 75.  Thoughts?
