Good thing I had a spare Slide Release because it broke during the Florida State IDPA Championship.
It broke where the pin connects to the barrel. It was embarrassing since I was actually at the equipment check station when the SO inspected it and said, "So this is the manual safety, right?...where is the slide release?" I went, OMG, it must have broke on the last stage, which is what actually happened. I did have a second round fired like the Cz was in automatic on the prior stage and I just thought it was my itchy finger, but I think that was a symptom.

I did have to use a punch to get the pin out, but new part went in easily.

Just two weeks ago I had the extractor break right at the claw part of the extractor. I found an armorer to take care of it for me, and when I saw what he did, I could easily do it. I also had my first squib just two weeks ago as well. I am pretty sure that was not a gun problem, but I don't reload....and I use commercially reloaded ammo, so that was a manufacturers problem. Scared the hell out of me because I had chambered another round when I thought" "Maybe I better check this." It had failed to eject the round, but what really tipped me off was the smoke smelled different.

The gun has about 9000-10,000 rounds through it so I guess it was time.

Makes me wonder what else might be next? Any suggestions of parts I should make sure I have on-hand that wear out? I already have new recoil springs. The only other things I worry about is the bow, the bow spring and the hammer spring. I have also replaced mag springs with more powerful mag springs.

Any other thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks,
Cody

The trigger spring is another that 'may' break. Mine went 20K and about the same for the slide release.  Slide release broke again around 40K +/-.
Never heard of a hammer spring break.
When the trigger bow spring has a problem, it's usually 'caused' by removing and reinstalling improperly the screw that holds the "two" springs in place,  OR snagging the sharp end of the spring with a rag and causing it to break.  (Happened to me).
All the other spring problems I've experienced were do to the springs "weakening", not breaking,  not a catastrophic failure just an inconveniece.
Just my experiences.
