Sierra Varminter Bullets 30 Caliber (308 Diameter) 110 Grain Hollow Point Box of 100

Designed to withstand extremely high velocities, Sierra's Hollow Point Bullet delivers explosive expansion on impact. This dedicated hunting bullet also offers accuracy on par with match-grade projectiles.

I wonder if it would fragment or expand at velocities I can generate from my CZ 52 ?

  Then there is...

Sierra Pro-Hunter Bullets 30 Caliber (308 Diameter) 125 Grain Hollow Point Flat Nose (for Tubular Magazines) Box of 100

Safety considerations require rifles equipped with tubular magazines to be loaded with flat nosed bullets only. This ensures that the cartridges will not ignite one another. While safe, these bullets travel only at moderate velocities. To address this, Sierra has added a series of features to promote reliable expansion. Two of the bullets offer a hollow point design in which a large frontal cavity promotes rapid expansion on impact. In the 30-30 and 375 Winchester bullets, Sierra offers a Power Jacket which features a series of "skives" cut into the mouth of the jacket which allow for greater expansion at lower velocities.

I have shot the 125's in my .30-30 and they are accurate.  I don't know how it performs on game as I haven't shot anything with it.  This bullet may be a little long for the 7.62 x 25.  I have loaded the 110's for my .308 and my 7.63 x 39 with OK results.  I haven't shot anything with them yet.  This bullet may work for the 52.  I need to get a set of dies.  I have some 55gr .223 bullets in sabots that I am anxious to try.  I know these will scream, but that it is hard to get the gun to run with them.

Achtung Earschplitenloudenboomer!  I tried .30 cal 110 gr Hornady SP's (#3010) and they shot fine so I bet the Sierra 's would shoot fine EXCEPT THE OGIVE WAS TO LONG TO SEAT THE BULLETS DEEP ENOUGH TO DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN SINGLE LOADING!!  I had a minimum O/A length of 1.495" in order to get the case to crimp on the bullet.  Had to unscrew the dies way out to accomodate the cartridge and then do bullet seating and crimping in 2 steps.  I used AA#7 from 6.5 gr to 7.8 gr with Starline brass.  The hot end seemed to work best.  I switched to some round ogive Hornady's in 110 gr that were designed for the M1 carbine to get something that would feed through the magazine.  A lighter bullet weight spitzer that is short enough to seat properly would be great provided you can find them.  Good luck.
