You can buy caniks at budsgunshop.com and you can get your canik customized at EFR -cerakote one color two color or camo patterns ,sight options and grips and you can get the triggers and safeties improved by Cajun Gun Works.  Here is a photo of a canik 120 steel that was done at EFR.

 P.S. I buy from Buds a lot and there service is always good even in these crazy gun buying times and I need all of our forum members to keep on  Buds till they get one of those Piranha models because I am dying to customize one.  I have been on a Turk gun buying spree for over a year now and I can tell you from personal experince shooting and customizing these pistols that they are nicely made ,accurate and have stood up to the beatings I put them through. I would not keep buying them If they did not work. I started fooling around with them when CZ's started to dry up. I shoot my caniks about the same amount that  I shoot my CZ's. P.S. I am not receiving any compensation from Buds , but I should be because of all the good press that I give them. The caniks just plain work and accept CZ mags which is a plus and of course they are a good value and a good basic platform to modify and upgrade. Brian /EFR

Beautiful gun!  Can that coating be done on my alloy frame L-120?

I would like to see Canik bring back the CZ 52!

@BGS guy-
You may suggest to the manufacturer that they standardize their sight mounting system across the line of guns.
Go with a standard front & rear dovetail from say the factory CZ's so the customer could have more off the shelf solutions without having to it machined after the fact. They may already do that with the non-Shark models, but I haven't been able to find one in the wild yet.

I just got a T-100/Shark C and I am itching to go shoot it, but the weather isn't cooperating. I hope the trigger action(s) lighten up after some use, otherwise I'll have to start on rigorous regiment of index finger curls :o

@Brian Ahearn-
Man you do some nice work. I've been lusting after that SUPER sweet SP01 over on your site.
Alright you Primitive Screwheads, listen up! You see this? This... is my boomstick!

Nice, that tan FC is EXACTLY what I was wanting...

I don't care about the stock wights or grip, as those are easily replaced, but I second the motion to suggest a wider, lower shelf safety.  Something more like a nice race 1911.

I don't know if this the correct place to put this question for BGSguy.But he started the thread. Tristars L-120 and S-120 models have 17 round mags and Buds have 15 rounds. Are they just different mags or is there a difference in the gun themselves?

Ok, this may be a stupid question, but where in the world do you buy the Canik products??

Most can be found at Bud's Gun Shop under the name Canik or TriStar. Academy also carries some Caniks under the TriStar name.

Thanks to all for the feedback so far, I'm recording them all and presenting them accordingly .

Man those Shark's look fantastic!! I really like the FC in the tan. Very nice.

Ok, this may be a stupid question, but where in the world do you buy the Canik products?? I've been searching the net for a Canik-USA website, dealer directory, or whatever,  and I can't find much info. I find one for sale here or there, like Gun Broker and Arms America, but no real main website. Am I missing something obvious?? TIA

BudsGunShop has the exclusive on all new Caniks now, so anything they develop and produce you should see on our website.  They all sell pretty fast so you kind of have to stay on top of them, but we keep getting them in so don't worry, we'll get more.  Canik is very attentive to suggestions so if more of you want to see particular improvements, seriously let me know and I'll, "petition," so to speak.

Petition Canik to get someone with steady hands to paint their sights, they are laughably bad. Or, have them offer an upgrade option from the factory for the Meprolights/Trijicon sights like CZ offers on the tactical series (SP01 models). I'd pay an extra hundred bucks to have usable sights on them. Also, what someone said earlier, about having them standardize on CZ's dovetail cuts for the front and rear sights would go a long way towards solving that problem, although I believe many models do accept matching CZ sights.

I realize they are selling well due to the low price but considering what many are saying about their quality, I believe they have room in the lineup for higher class models with better sights and grips from the factory. Maybe this is something Tristar needs to handle since they're the official importer now. Do you have any insight into that?

+1, I had the same problem with one of mine.

I'm a CZ75/clone whore, so I've bought all sorts of variations (several from Bud's).  However, most people only buy one.  Put a standard EAA Witness, CZ75, and Canik 120 next to each other.  The person who's only buying one doesn't need to pay the extra $100.  They'll just buy the Witness.  Of course this doesn't matter as much now because everything is selling, but when the market conditions change to the point that consumers have more options, better sights will make a difference in what Canik sells.

I am very tempted.  I visited your site and it is very impressive!  One gun on my list is a CZ 52.  I may get one of those and send to you.  Loved the CZ52 on your site!

Every CZ owner should have at least one CZ 52.

Out of all my CZ's my 52 is still my favorite.

Again Guys we should thank Buds for bringing more caniks to the market place- Hurry up on that piranha model, and for those who want a custom model that can be achieved.  EFR is in the process of adding a build a custom canik page to our website. I am working on three more custom caniks right now. When they are fully tested and photos completed along with pricing the web page will be completed and added to our website. On the other hand everyone must realize that it takes time for Buds and companies like mine to get these ventures off the ground so I realize that while I really want one of those piranha's bad the reality is that this may take awhile. Second when it comes to customizing these pistols you must realize that they are not carbon copies of CZ's parts are not interchangeable and to achieve better triggers parts will have to be made. Dave at Cajun Gun works sent me an email this weekend letting me know the Shark Compact that I sent him is done-trigger work completed ,this will be the second of four that I will showcase  here on the CZ forum for you guys. I am probably looking at another month to finish the other two. The Shark model provides the biggest challenge due to the way that the manufacturer mounted the front sight.  I hope you guys will like the finished products. Brain / EFR Ps if you have not noticed it did not take Buds or any of the other companies selling these pistols to pretty much run out of all the models once people realized what a good value and performer these pistols are.
