Any gun left dirty long enough will chug to a halt.  I've got four Grand Power guns in the safe at the moment and used to have a fifth.

The very early Mk5's were built like match guns, with very tight tolerances. If I used dirty ammo, I needed to clean it every 400 rounds.
My STI GP6 (Mk6 frame) was as accurate but easily went 800 rounds before I felt the need to clean it.

I have two brand new X-Calibers and have put 1500-2000 rounds through the primary gun. New out of the box, #1 ran 400 rounds that first day without a hiccup. I have used it in two matches since April 12 and did clean it between matches, but then I always do prior to a match.

With the Mk7 frame's interchangeable grips, it's easy to get the gun to fit your hand perfectly.
The single action trigger is light and crisp, at about 3-3.5 lbs, and the DA trigger is between 8 and 9 lbs.

Brian Ahern commented that it has a polymer frame, and that's not exactly true.
It does have a polymer grip. The grip however is not structural. It only holds the magazine in position and anchors the trigger/trigger bow.

The gun is actually built like a STI 2011, with all the lockwork and stress points contained within a CNC machined steel frame.

In this one, I feel for Jaroslav, the owner of the company and designer. After a week long show, he's on his last vocal chord.

Just so all the cards are on the table here, I'm the team captain for the factory sponsored team in Canada.
I'm not an employee of the company or the Canadian distributor.

For the fathers out there, the top of the slide from my teams junior girls X-Calibur.

Century Arms is the distributor for the US.

OK, the timing could not have been better.
My main man in Maryland just shot this video of a P1 at his range.

Now approved for sale in Maryland.

Great video , I am itching to get the compact model they are great shooters and his video showed that if you do your part you can't miss. I particularly like the short reset on the trigger and the ambi features.. I got the ful lsize model for teaching purposes but I see a compact in my future- I prefer compacts. I just wish I could find a supplier for extra factory mags.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a P1 at a LGS the other day. I asked the store assistant to handle it. Something I had not noticed while shooting the rental K100 at the Prague range was how loud and distinctive the cocking sound was...very loud click-clack, unlike any I've experienced with many other types of DA/SA pistols.

Very tempting.....

Yep, if you thumb cock it you can hear as the sear rides over the half cock and full cock hooks.

Here's one of the Canadian team members rocking his X-Calibur.

I own the full size model -very accurate fully ambi pistol. I would expect  the compact to be just as nice. Very short trigger rest and ergonomically sound.

Same and concur. I'm looking forward to more of their product line being imported.
