Is the Kadet the only option for a CZ pistol in .22LR?

Welcome to the forum Kleab.  I believe the Kadet is out of production and they may be difficult to find.  However, if you have a cZ you can buy a Kadet Kit and install it on a receiver with minor fitting.  The Kadet Kit is a great addition for any cZ owner.

Yeah, that's what it was looking like from the research I'd done. Thanks for verifying! I have a 75BD and was looking into getting the Kadet adapter, but when I called CZ custom they said that you have to be careful doing trigger jobs on these guns if you plan on using the Kadet adapter. They apparently need the heavier trigger pull for the adapters to reliably work. Thanks for the info and the warm welcome! I got my first CZ a couple weeks ago and now I'm hooked for life. My next 4 guns will be CZs as well and I already have them planned, ha ha.

The only thing a Kadet adapter needs is a heavy hammer spring to assure reliable ignition.

If you're willing to swap hammer springs when you use the Kadet the rest of the trigger work, sear or hammer, isn't an issue.
I had the right to remain silent...

but not the ability.

Hiya Kleab, you can find a Kadet and a Kadet kit, just need to keep an eye out, but I can see that the market for a 600ish .22 handgun and cz's decision to discontinue as just a business thing, think the 83 also is a done deal. I use my Kadet 2 kit on 3 frames, 2 of which had czcustom trigger/hammer tuneups and no one ever mentioned bout your comments. I was having the lite strike issue tho, which Eric at czcustom assured me had everything to do with the quality of ammo I used (federal multipak) and if I went to CCI the problem would dissapear. The forum pointed me to the hammer springs, and went from the 13lb to 17lb and only then did the problem dissapear. Thanks forum, again for savin me big $$$.
Kleab, I did have the FO added to the Kadet kit and feel it was a good move for my 53yr ol eyes. I also came across a couple european cz's in .22 that we dont see much of here, one of them appears to be on the 83 frame. Hope ya find one to enjoy. Be well.

Thanks for the input from all! Adrian, that 122 Sport is a sharp gun. If you ever decide to part with it, let me know!

Welcome, the Kadet Kit is great. Add one to a CZ or purchase a Kadet, they are out there.
