Very nice.  Any benefits to the new hammer over a standard one?

How does it compare to pre-2013 Shadows other than the obvious differences? Comparable internals? In an earlier thread on the Shadow line I saw 'tuned trigger' mentioned.  Is this just the new hammer and possibly springs? Seriously considering a purchase, but might just get my 85C tuned up instead if I wouldn't notice a significant improvement from the Shadow line without work done on it.

That upswept tail though...

I see the weight of the whole gun is 2.5 lbs.  Is this with or without the 17 round mag?

So with the new IDPA rules, is this gun both ESP and SSP legal?

Are those the kinds of grips you'd use in competition?
Remington R1 Enhanced, Chiappa Rhino 200DS, Sarsilmaz K2 45.

I might, depending on how "grippable" they are.  If my hands don't stick, I may substitute plastic grips covered in skate tape.

The stock grips on my ShadowLine are pretty nice, and fairly grippy, not overly aggressive.  They are just a bit thin for my hands, so might replace them with VZ's.  Overall I like them.  Will shoot my first match with them this weekend and see how they work.  Gonna be hot, so a good test!

Since you have one, do you know what your Shadow Line weighs with an empty with a mag in it?

Just weighed the shop gun with mag 37.5 ounces.

Thanks Stuart ...

Sounds like it would meet both old and new IDPA requirements.
