Grip texture of Hakan grips
« on: May 23, 2013, 03:11:23 PM »
How does the grip texture on Hakan's wood grips compare to VZ tactical diamonds?

Also, how thin are they? Can he make them similar in size to the stock rubber grips but with more texture/grippiness than full checkered coco bolo grips?

His work looks amazing but I wanted to check about some of the other qualities you can't see just from a picture. Oh and this would be for a CZ 75 PCR

Wow. Nothing in almost a week. Really guys? Guess this part of the forum doesn't get much traffic. Could a mod maybe movethis to the general discussion forum?

I don't own any Haken Grips but I would recommend contacting Haken himself. Tell him what you're looking for and maybe he can help  ;D According to his forum profile, he hasn't been active here since May 7th 2010...  :o That can't be right.... Do be patient. Not the fastest turn-around I hear, even with emails, but all I hear and see is that he does amazing work...

Wish I could be of more assistance.

Thanks guys!  Yeah, I emailed him a few days ago and haven't heard anything back yet so we'll see how it goes.

Riptide, those look awesome!  How does the shape/thickness compare to the factory rubber grips?  Does it have the palm swell?  Also, how does the texture feel?  I have some cocobolo full checker grips, is the texture on your hakan grips more "grippy" than that?  What about compared to the VZ tactical diamonds?

Thanks again for posting.

They are great grips. Ever so slightly thicker then stock grips. There is a slight palm swell. Texture is very nice but that is very individual. I have a pair of smooth carbon fiber grips also that I like - thicker but still nice to shoot with. Little more hi-tech look.
