Found one!
« on: June 08, 2013, 09:31:29 PM »
Finally broke down and bought a CZ-82. Saw one at a local small gun store and did some
research on it. He was asking $285 for just the gun and it's one clip. Nothing else. I looked
far and wide and they seem to be all dried up.

I am going to use it for cc. It virtually disappears carried in a Mike's inside the pants holster,
size 16 I believe and cross draw. (Left front, right hand draw). It's the only place that feels
comfortable on me and concealable. I can bend to drive.

Mine has C.A.I Georgia VT on one side and She 86 on the other. Did I pay too much??

CZ-82 9x18 Mak.

I wish I had a decent camera cuz I have the exact same setup. she 86 and keep it in the same holster. 285 aint bad in todays world. Mine was 271 after shipping and transfer then I bought the uncle Mikes holster for about 10 bux so very close. Make sure you fire plenty rounds before you settle on ammo choice especially for a carry weapon. I found out that my cz 82 prefers Seller & Belliot ammo. Czech ammo for a Czech gun? Who woulda thunk it? I think you will enjoy your purchase!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hiya NC700 and thanks for starting the thread, I also think ya made a good purchase have heard if the rifling is in good shape the gun will outlast you. One thing I found that helped accuracy is to find a smith that can smooth out perhaps lighten the double action a lil. And if yours has a half cocked position apply the safety there as it shortens the trigger pull a smidge, and dosent feel like you are reaching for the trigger. I recall their SA is pretty sweet allready. The plastic grips I found tended to get a lil wiggle in them at 50 to 100 rounds of practice, and plastic grips may be great for not snagging clothes but get slick when a lil damp. Perhaps you could have someone put a set of these grips on your christmas list, I promise you wont be dissapointed in their look, feel, or performance. I found the cor-bon DPX fed well, and I liked the performance stats for it as well. Enjoy your purchase, and be well.

Nice find.
Prices rise and fall but the gun is still a bargain. I have yet to find another gun in that size that does what the 82 does as well.
No it is not a pocket gun (well not in my pockets anyway) but it is a ergonomic, ambidextrous compact that holds a good amount of ammo

You might find the cost doubling on you though, within a year I had a second one.

Good for you  I'm still looking for one in Indiana.  And that I can afford.  Looking 250 to 300 range.  Carry my 62 9x18 Makarov and like it a lot but really want a CZ82 when I can find one close..Again congrats on your purchase.  Just put another 150 rounds thru the Makarov Wednesday  and loved every minute of it.

Congratulations on your CZ82 purchase.  Armed Hiker put it well - prices rise and fall, but you will likely be well satisfied with that pistol for years to come.

With 82's getting harder and harder to find, $285 is a pretty good price. I paid $250 for mine about 1 year ago and mine came with both mags, cleaning rod, and surplus holster.

BTW, your CZ82 was made in 1986. Mine was made in 1984.

Don't know. I got mine online from Century Arms for a total of $201.87 with shipping. But I have a C&R license and did not need to pay my usual 20 bucks for a Transfer fee, like all my non C&R buys.
