Congratulations on your 82.  It's hard to find them below $300 these days.

@ 1Walter1 ... what I would've liked would have been another 83 NIB.  But, I just picked up a CZ-70, which takes care of my gun budget for a while.  :)

The same gun dealer I visit just got a real Makarov traded in.

It has holster, cleaning rid, two mags and the guy even traded
in five boxes of JHP 9x18 Russian produced ammo. The gun is
the same price as the CZ I bought. $285.

The gun looks like it is brand new. I'd be interested if it held more
than just 8 in the clip.

I picked up a Russian Mak earlier this year similar deal. It was a commercial gun with the adjustable rear sights.
Do you know if the one you saw was Russian , Bulgarian or east German?
If Russian did it have the Adjustable rear sights?

I have not shot mine yet but so far as I can tell the only thing the actual Mak does better than the CZ82 is it works better as a bottle opener.
I prefer the 82 ergonomics, capacity, trigger and sights. The Mak is a little bit slimmer in the grip area but only there, not enough to want to give away 4 rounds of ammo for.

If My 82's were unreliable I would lean toward the Mak but they have not proven to be a problem yet so the Mak will live mostly in the safe for now.

We call them clips around here too. No one says "magazine".

Don't know. I got mine online from Century Arms for a total of $201.87 with shipping. But I have a C&R license and did not need to pay my usual 20 bucks for a Transfer fee, like all my non C&R buys.

$201.87 delivered?  How long ago was that?

Congratulations!  I'm still on my CZ82 hunt to round out my CZ82/83 grouping.

I own 2 CZ-82s already.  And I would have happily paid $285 for the one the OP purchased, if I were in the market.

I'd love to have one in each caliber: 7.65mm (.32 ACP), .380, and 9x18mm, but alas, I live in Californication!  I am limited to the current .380 CZ83 that is glossy finish and comes with 10 round magazines from the factory.  Fortunately, I have legal, pre-2000 possessed by me 13 round high caps for it from my original CZ83.
