Well??? Did it come in yet??? I'm excited too! Nothing like a new toy!!!!
Arrived Wednesday, along with 500 Crosman HP pellets. I decided not to use the provided scope rail since most reviewers stated it was a waste of time, so mounted the scope directly on to the receiver. Took it out to the gravel pit to sight it in. Took me about 30 rounds to get it on to the paper at 50 yards, windage wasn't so bad, but the elevation was way off. It wasn't as quiet as I was expecting, marginally less 'crack' than a 22 rifle, but still fairly audible although not so much that you'd need hearing protection.
Only real con I've found so far is that the scope tends to tip or twist in the rings after 8-10 rounds so the crosshairs aren't vertical and horizontal. I'm loath to crank on the rings too much in case I deform the scope tube, so I'm considering wrapping some electrical tape around it to give the rings something to bed into. A minor gripe is the thumbhole in the stock is a little too small, but I think a few minutes with the trusty Dremel will fix that in short order.
Overall I'm pretty pleased, I shot it again on Thursday and the scope had held the zero without shifting at all.
Even at 50 yards it went straight through 3/8 plywood so I'm confident that varmints will feel my wrath!
