Even at 50 yards it went straight through 3/8 plywood
Lol
when I first bought mine I used it to shoot indoors at my parents house. My father and I built a pellet trap out of sheet metal with a sloping backstop. Shooting it at only 15 yards (length of the hallway to the far side of my bedroom) was ...um ...educational.
First my shots seemed to be all over the place, first one hit and then I couldn't see any more on target. Yep... my first one hole groups....Yay!
Next came the bad news, those pellets were all hitting the same spot in the trap as well. we discovered the pellets had enough energy that after punching the paper they would slam into the sheet metal and deflect downward along the trap. Right to the seam in the sheet metal punching a hole through it and making the paneling (bedroom wall) look like your favorite wooden target holder.
Mom was not impressed with me or my father for this bright idea, I cherish the memory now.
If I get the chance I will run my 52 past my sound meter to see how loud it is, I would say mine is also just under a .22lr.
