I always hear bad things about scopes that come with pellet rifles

Yeah, the weird reverse recoil of a Pellet Rifle can be hard on even a High End Scope

As this isn't a springer, but uses Gamo's IGT system, it may not be an issue. I can't say I noticed anything other than normal recoil, although it does have a scope stop.

Even at 50 yards it went straight through 3/8 plywood

Lol
when I first bought mine I used it to shoot indoors at my parents house.  My father and I built a pellet trap out of sheet metal with a sloping backstop. Shooting it at only 15 yards (length of the hallway to the far side of my bedroom) was ...um ...educational.

First my shots seemed to be all over the place, first one hit and then I couldn't see any more on target. Yep... my first one hole groups....Yay!
Next came the bad news, those pellets were all hitting the same spot in the trap as well. we discovered the pellets had enough energy that after punching the paper they would slam into the sheet metal and deflect downward along the trap. Right to the seam in the sheet metal punching a hole through it and making the paneling (bedroom wall) look like your favorite wooden target holder.

Mom was not impressed with me or my father for this bright idea, I cherish the memory now.

If I get the chance I will run my 52 past my sound meter to see how loud it is, I would say mine is also just under a .22lr.

I got to shoot a Benjamin Marauder in .22 the other day, at 900 fps you don't even here the gun fire!! Guys on YouTube are whacking critters out to 130 yards with this beast!! I want one in the worst way, but at $500+ optics+ charging method ( scuba tank or high pressure hand pump) right now I'll stick to my Crosman break action with lead pellets (no super sonic crack) for those grey tree rats!

If it moves faster than 1,100fps it breaks the sound barrier

This fact doesn't mean it's load
And if so....Have a Bullwhip handy
Tell any wieners that you're practicing with your Wipe

Well now I just need to find a place in the sticks to practice run-and-gun
