Well I am sitting having a wonderful Single Batch of JD and reflecting on an absolute great time at my first USPSA Match.
Some cool stages and some tough ones. The hardest was a set of 4 targets which you have 3 seconds to draw and put 2 shots in each. 4 boxes at 4 distances. 1st box was 20 yards - second box 15 yards - third box 10 yards - forth box 5 yards. I was pleased that I only had 4 mikes out of all 4 sets of 4.

I had someone take 1 video for me all day - happened to be my most accurate.   
3 Steel & 14 Targets. I had 27 Alpha's and 1 Charlie. My problem was mag changes -    v  e  r  y     s  l  o  w    - as you can see. Need practice on that.

WOW in your first USPSA match!  Way to go.
Did you like the USPSA shooting format?  Every match can be very different from the last.

Mag changes are fixable at home in the living room or......   Just be sure to research and see the "best" way to do them and then practice, practice, practice.
Production class = mag changes.  Almost as bad as single stack/revolver.  I had a 38 rd stage today with 4 mag changes.  I ran dry on the last shot! .

I did like the format very much. I loved the way the stages were very different. The 3 second staged freaked me out before I shot the 1st leg in 3.15. That made me feel much much comfortable.

The next match is a sectional match.  Should I sign up for that match?

Going to my first USPSA match this Saturday. 

1SOW said if you like IDPA you will REALLY like USPSA. So out of respect for 1SOW, I am sacrificing my Saturday to accommodate his suggestion. It's all his fault! 

Where you goin for the competition? We might bump into each other when I get into competitions (I'm in Pittsburgh)

Watched the video. Nice job, good consistency, steady to minimize mistakes so I'm bettin you did good especially for your first match.

We started in the rain so I was a bit worried it would be slippery.  Of coarse, like my 2nd IDPA Match, I started off the day 1st to go. I could have said something but I figured it was the best way to get rid of the butterflies. Started in the rain with gun and hands on table. Wet - Wet - Wet. Needed to concentrate so i Didn't have a chance to get nervios.

Good way to start my 1st  USPSA.

I'm lookin for somewhere remote near pittsburgh to practice run-and-gun like Nutnfancy does. Just somewhere in the sticks.

It's a major match.  Means more shooters from all over the area.  $80 entry fee, and the match runs the 6th thru 8th.  Check online for more info about the match.  http://www.uspsa.org/uspsa-match-details.php?indx=853
If the cost is ok for you, you'll like it.  They'll chrono your rds---should be listed as a "stage" online.

Don't let all that scare you off.  You aren't likely to win (sounds like you're in the game thpough), but you will learn and see a lot.
I've never been to a major match, so I'm not the guy to ask.      There's 4 here in TX/yr, and I hope to go to the Doubletap Championship in North TX next June just for the experience.

Usually, as I mentioned above plus more shooters---sometimes a lot more shooters.  It shows running for more than one day.  Check the website and it'll explain the sign-up requirements and how the shoot will be run.
Good opportunity if it's near you.  If not, then motel etc. etc.  If it's not close, local shooters may share rides/expenses getting to the match.  Ask around.
