I had the same issue with the mags not dropping free and was thinking about straightening the spring. To my surprise when I replaced the stock wood grips with the new style CZ aluminium's, my mags are now flying out.
I had the same issue when i put the hogue grips on while waiting for the aluminums to come in from CZ-UB.
