It took some patience but I finally tracked down a Kadet conversion.  Very pleased.  The design is very clever IMO where only a portion of the slide moves.  Really allows for the gun to feel a lot like a full size with similar weight!

Very VERY nice
The design for the Kadet Upper is "Borrowed" from the Marvel Unit One
Very accurate do to the fact that Barrel and the Sights are pinned together
No loss in accuracy do to the changing Barrel / Slide Lock-up of most other designs
ENJOY

I also was able to finally try out the Kadet 2 kit. It's mated with an early 90's Pre-B with VZ frag grips. The shorter reset of the Pre-B and the solid Kadet top felt very good in the hand. The beginning of another long friendship!

SWEET
Yeah, I can see how the CZ75 (Pre Ban) would make an outstanding Frame for the Kadet

That pre-B hammer is ugly!!!  But so is my firing pin block, LOL.

You guys are going to love shooting the Kadet now that the ammo availability is improving.  I had the shakes for a few months earlier this year.

Yeah, she may be ugly but she looks wicked! ;-)

How does that old song go, "If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life, get an ugly girl to marry you"? I love the Pre-B looks and the stock triggers are sweet.

Just a point of contention, the Kadet was designed by Vaclav Zendl, finished by CZUB and began serial production in 1993. Bob Marvel didn't design his conversion until 1998.

So is it possible that Marvel "borrowed" from the Kadet?

I was not aware the Kadet was older than the MU1
But I'd bet they both took some of their ideas from the S&W Model 41
