Just a note on the day glo orange paint.  I tried the orange paint, but with my red green color blindness the orange appeared black against a black target  >:( so I am now using white correction fluid on my front site.  Skookum, that is a truly unique paint job on those guns. More creative than I will ever be.  :D

All I did was paint the center of the front sight and the two dots on the rear sight with white model paint..... Did the same thing to my CZ83.

I did mine in white for a long time. Recently I changed to abright yellow. I am getting a bit older now and the yellow works better with my old eyes. I use a pin to put the paint on. I tape it to a popsicle stick to give more stability.

Recently I changed to abright yellow.

That works until you are confronted by an ax murderer in a yellow rainjacket.

I like the popscicle stick idea.

Unless you're doing some sort of historically faithful restoration, my answer would be Meprolight.

In daylight, photopic vision, using the cones in the retina, is most sensitive to light at a wavelength of 550 nm, which is green:

When adapted to dark, scotopic vision, using the rods in the retina, is most sensitive to light at a wavelength of 507 nm, which is blue-green:

My apologies.  As a graduate of the flagship university in the Big Ten, , I should have refrained from using multisyllabic words in case a Hoosier was in the room.

Does this picture do a better job?:

Go have a Leinie and some squeaky cheese. We'll agree to disagree regarding the B1G but join in saying Go PACK Go!   ;)

And I have to cheer for Bucky unless you're playing IU. (Of course, I'd root for the University of Damascus if they were playing the Buckeyes!)
