SP-01, replacing hammer
« on: October 31, 2013, 06:45:44 AM »
I put the adjustable sights on my SP-01, now the sights overhang the hammer so I can't cock it with my thumb.  I've ordered the race hammer, pins, & punch from CGW.  Does someone have links to a video or instructions on replacing the hammer in an SP-01 they can post?  I've done a search on the site and am not finding it.

  Thanks,
  Bill

i recommend getting the CGW starter punch. This thing makes hammer those pins out a breeze.

i recommend getting the CGW starter punch. This thing makes hammer those pins out a breeze.

If you have a smooth face vise (or something smooth/hard ((ie steel, brass, etc.)) that could be placed in the vise jaws) it makes re-installation of the pins equally breezy.
