Very nice eddie, very nice! great pics as well. nalioth, I got one local, and one on GB as well. I watched a full size 9, NIB go for $605 about a month ago....
One thing that I have notices is that the firing pin block works the opposite of CZ's. Rather than pushing it up to fire, you are "letting it down" It seems that would affect the trigger pull less?

That is how all Tanfoglios work, and yes, it is related to a nicer trigger.

Yes, that does contribute to a better trigger pull.  This is the Automatic Firing Pin Lock that Tanfoglio and other Tanfoglio related Pistols use and was designed by the late Swiss Engineer, Dr. Martin Tuma. This came about when Tanfoglio had partnerships with Swiss Firms, back in the late 1980's, and the design has endured since then with good reason.  It's great!!!

XCRcarpenter, thanks for checking them out. Both of mine have sweet triggers. Better than my STI Spartan in my opinion.

This is very close to dreamy gun porn and I support it. Nice looking pair.  :)

Got to shoot the .40 yesterday...real nice shooter, real nice!
Now, I haven't shot .40 ever before, and the UMC that I got had a real flat nose. I had one that got hung up on the feedramp. I am not sure if it needs to be polished, or if it was the blunt bullet?

One out of how many rounds?  Try another brand of ammunition and see what happens.  Don't be too quick to change things just yet, as the Pistol is probably just wearing in.
Not too crazy about Remington/UMC ammunition these days as it has tended to be the most problematic Ammunition on my Clubs Range.

So, 1 250 rd bulk pack through this full size .40, and approx 5 jamms, as in the round hangs up going into the chamber.....
Aside from that I love it.
Any recommendations? I have never needed to polish a feedramp, but I am wondering if that is what I need? Any ideas? Is this more common with the flat nosed .40?

Before doing anything else, I would remove the extractor and polish the backside of the blade and make sure the rim engaging surfaces and edges are smooth. Re-Install and test-fire.

Also, disassemble and thoroughly clean the Magazines, and check the lip surfaces for roughness. Polish with 320 grit if necessary.

O.K.... Looking at it, I think I will need a new poll pin to replace the old one if I punch it out to do that.
I think I need to number the mags and pay attention to see if it is one or both randomly.

I've not had any problems re using the original Roll Pins, but do make sure you use a proper Roll Pin Punch.
Yes, numbering your Magazines is very helpful.

Both pair are nice sets in good condition by the looks of the pics. Glad to see they aren't safe queens.
