Hey guys, just wanted to follow up. I sent Tri-Star an email last Sunday requesting a prepaid shipping label and instructions and have not heard back. Will be giving them another call today.

I had decent luck with them when I ruined the front sight on my T120. Actually talked to a human being (twice). I hope your situation gets resolved.

Did you send them them the pics you showed here? If possible get some pics from a good digital camera rather than a smart phone. It might make all the difference. Not all phones are created equal obviously so if you can't get a pic with a camera maybe you know someone with a better camera in their phone.

Hey guys, still working on getting this resolved. Tri-Star never replied to my email or voice mail and I sort of gave up on it over the holidays. If I were reasonably confident that the defect was limited to the finish and not an actual crack in the slide I'd probably just trade it in at the next gun show but I don't want to risk the possible liability.

if they won't send a prepaid label, ask if you can send the slide only.  you can put that in a usps small flat rate for 6 bucks.  keltec allowed me to do that when a p11 slide was cracking from breech block so i didn't incur cost of shipping a pistol.  a value priced pistol, with value priced customer service needs to work with a value conscious customer.
i own two c100's and had decent luck so far. I have talked to them and their customer service is exactly why i am on the fence if i will buy another.  The eleven CZ pistols in safe didn't cost much more for similar model and i know how CZ USA will treat me. Please update the progress blkcat

i don't own one of these pistols and if this is how Tri-Star handles their customers' complaints then i definitely don't want to own one.

it is not a good idea to be penny-wise, pound-foolish. with so many people following this thread they could have scored points by sorting out the issue promptly .

Well, how did this turn out? I just bought one of these last week, first 50 rounds went down range with good results.
Please update - did the slide get replaced?

Still wondering how this turned out. Was the slide really cracked or was it a problem with the finish? Inquiring minds want to know.

Let's wait to hear from the Original Poster on this.  ::)  They could be having other issues that preclude them from responding.
