9MM/147/RN????

Have a CZ75. Casting a Redding/Saeco #928 @ 147 grains. I need a starting load with Red Dot or HP38 & the OAL. Thanks guys.

What are you sizing them to and what lube are you using?

I bet that if you seat it until the case mouth is all but flush with the bearing surface you'll be right on the money for COL. That's a health looking lube groove. Can't help you with the powder.

This got me thinking. Lyman 45 data for their 38/158/RN loaded in 9MM.

That's a lot of sidewall in the case,  but the data shows very safe "depending on the other bullet's  seating depth".

Should be a good place to start, anyway.  The designs aren't THAT dissimilar.  Obviously the Lyman will seat deeper in the case and your MAX charge weight will be higher with the 147 grain.
