CZ Vz 58 - Fitting the Issue Bipod
« on: December 02, 2013, 01:31:34 AM »
Greetings!
I have hopefully sent this message to CzechPoint but maybe a constructive answer will be helpful to others in the open forum;
How do I fit the manufacturer's bipod to the bayonet lug of the CZ Vz 58?

Czechpiont VZs don't have bayo lugs so you won't be able to on a Czechpiont rifle. Ya can on a VZ2008 though.

Thank you for that but I have a CZ Vz 58 with a bayonet lug and I want to know how to fit the issued bipod to it.

Thanks for that again.
Have you fitted a bayonet to the rifle? Yes/no.
Have you examined the bipod fitment for attachment to the bayonet lug? Yes/no.
Have you then fitted the bipod to the rifle? Yes/no.
If so, please talk me through fitting the bipod to the bayonet lug.
Thank you, in anticipation.

I don't have one of those bipods. But...

The bayonet attaches to the lug from the rear of the lug. Then slide the bayonet in the muzzles direction. The bipod attaches to the front (muzzle end) of the lug.

So..
yes
no
no

I can't imagine it would be that hard to figure out. But maybe I"m missing something.

I have a bipod and it's easy to mount.  Slides on from the rear and you have to push it all the way to the front then the "nub" on the inside of the bipod pushes up into the recess in the lug and you can then pull down the legs and it's locked in.
