Here's my Compact with the mag base plate that came on the two mags that came with the pistol:

Here's the weapon gussied up with a rubber base plate I got from the folks at CZ Custom (I also added much nicer rubber grips):

I've seen two other base plates on mags for this gun: (1) a metal base plate that curves down a bit in the front and (2) a rubber (or maybe plastic) base plate that's not quite as thick as the rubber one shown above. Does anybody know where these other two base plates can be ordered?

Here's a picture I grabbed off the Internet that shows the other rubber (plastic?) base plate:

Stuart is correct, the plastic base is on 10 round mags.
The mags with the curved steel base came with early Compacts......
I had one from '94 and it came with the curved base plates. Not sure when they
stopped making them.
Here's a pic......left to right......Beretta base plate, SP01, curved, current PCR/Compact.

Thanks for the pics. Very helpful. I don't think I have any use for a ten-round mag, so the plastic base won't be in the collection. I do want the curved metal base though. Any idea where those can be ordered?

Forgot to mention the Beretta option. I tried that already. Good idea.

Is this what you are looking for?

I make them from stainless or aluminum.

Joe,

Do you make your base plate with a black finish?

I don't normally make any black finish plates as most of what I make is for stainless pistols. I can make some from aluminum, bead blast them, and apply a coat of black paint. I have tried to locate a shop that would anodize them but the prices I have been quoted would add too much to the price of the base plate.  PM me if you are interested.

Since I made reply #9 things have changed. I am now ready to start supplying the base plates with a powder coated finish very close to the Poly-Coat finish that CZ uses. While I can powder coat stainless it makes more sense to me to PC aluminum. I can supply two styles, one with a slight wedge shape as seen in the picture I posted in this thread or a flat one that is flush with frame for those with large hands. The wedge style in powder coat aluminum is priced at $20 while the flush style is $15. Either style will be available in the next two weeks.

For my location, look at my profile.
