I alternatively shot mine with original woods, rubber, aluminums and I finally settled on nils target grips cut down to sit flush with the bottom of the frame. There is something about the rounded shape that suits me well.

I honestly couldn't imagine a more perfect grip for the 97, provided you have reasonably long fingers.
