Anyone try this OWB holster for the CZ-83?
« on: January 22, 2014, 09:50:14 PM »
Looks good... leather OWB holster actually molded from the CZ-83 with square trigger guard, made in Lithuania.

It'd be nice to have an OWB carry option for my CZ-83 if I ever choose to do so, and I like the retaining strap. The $29.99 price is a bit cheap so I'm guessing it must not be very good quality leather, but still much better then nylon. There just aren't that many modern OWB holsters commercially made specifically for the CZ-83 with square trigger, or for the round trigger for that matter:

This thread is stale but since there was no other reply, I thought that I would comment anyway - it might help another CZ-82/93 shooter needing a holster.

Yes, I purchased one of these Lithuanian holsters, for my CZ-83, from the same eBay seller -4GUN or d25266. I purchased the brown leather version for $29 plus $8 shipping. Shipping was fairly quick considering where it came from - it took two weeks - order to door.

The leather seems to be of good quality and the stitching is a single row but neat and appears strong. The holster was very tight and it required a couple of days with the gun inside before it would slide in easily and the thumb snap would "snap". It definitely requires some break-in. It is specifically made for the CZ-82/83

One negative is that the slots are a bit narrow for my Hanks Clothing CCW belt, making it hard to slide on. I feel that this will also improve with break-in/use.

It sits perfectly at 3PM on my right side, fitting snugly to my side and it is very concealable under a loose camp shirt.

ZardozCZ - that is the exact same holster sold by the same seller that NRA1945 and I are talking about. It is available in black or brown.

I will update my post by saying that after almost a week with my CZ83 stored in the holster, it is breaking in well. The thumb strap still need more breaking in - getting it to re-snap after reinserting the gun into the holster remains a bit difficult. It needs to loosen up some more.
