Tristar p120

Got it a week or so ago. Have a video up on youtube to kind of give you an idea of the looks. Shot it today, ran great

Nice little video! Would you say the safety and slide lock controls extend out more then the P-01? Looked like it. Didn't seem to stop it from holstering in the SP-01 rig. Are these frames all steel or a steel alloy?

Website says steel alloy... My manual says 1.9 lbs with unloaded mag. My scientific way of weighing it( me on a digital scale w/ pistol- me on a digital scale) I came up with 2.6 lbs. I dont have a scale that will weigh something that light lol Its definitely a heavy gun. Ill try to figure out a way to actually get the real weight of it. Oh and the controls are very similar. heres a pic of the slide stops. p01 on top/p120 on bottom

The sp01 phantom rig isnt 100% perfect but it seems to hold it pretty well, I may spot heat it up to get a little more snug of a fit

Thank you for the pics and info!  I have been looking for a p01 for a while with no luck. I have a Tristar c100 that I like very much. So which do prefer for range paper shooting? I was looking for a CZ style pistol with a rail.  Keep us posted on how you like the p01 compared to the p120. I am suprised the slide fits on the CZ. Does the CZ slide fit on the Tristar?
       I also have a Glock but don't shoot it as well as the CZs and Tristar.

No, the cz slide does not fit on the Tristar, the tristars frame is just a tad narrower

no problem. Oh and to answer your question for earlier, With practice I feel that the Tristar will be a pretty darn accurate target pistol(its heavy so I doubt itll get carried out on the land much, probably a HD/truck gun). p01 is more carry friendly since its lighter. I need to work on my skills with both, Im super rusty

Tristar was on my list when I was looking at guns but when I went to a lgs they had the CZ 75b in stock and I couldn't pass it up after handling it. Hope you enjoy your new gun. - Bodene

Like I mentioned(Ithink..haha) its heavy! They list it on the Tristar website at 1.87 lbs. I added some grip tape(doesnt really add weight...) Mine weight... Dun dun dun 2.62 LBS(2lbs 9.95oz).
I verified the scale with my P01 and it came out to 1lb 12.15oz(1.759lbs). CZ lists it at 1.75lbs so its pretty accurate



Have any other new owners weighed theirs yet?!

My SAR K2-45 is pretty heavy both empty and fully loaded with 230 grain Bullets.  Have not weighed it as yet.

After handling and carrying Polymer Framed Pistols, it does take a bit of getting used to again.

I haven't weighed mine yet, but your number seems about right. I think they had previously listed this as a steel alloy frame, but I think they are full steel. Compared to a shark FC I picked up yesterday, there was a huge difference in weight.

I a friend from work looking to get into action shooting.   All he has now are bolt guns.   We are going to the range this weekend to shoot my glocks, and CZ85B as well as my son's Shadow Target (That will ruin him for anything else).   On a budget, this looks like a great option.   Do these work with SP-01 holsters?   What aftermarket sights work on these?   As much as I love my K2 45, I will never again buy a pistol that doesn't have night sights or FO sights available for it.

I will let you guys know what sights will work today , I am swapping sights on one of the p120's that I just got yesterday.
