P-07 in Cabela's Add
« on: February 03, 2014, 01:21:44 PM »
The 2014 Firearms sales flyer lists a a P-07 in OD with a 4.5" barrel. I can't tell from the picture if the added length is threaded for a suppressor but if not it could be. Checking the 2014 CZ catalog, the P-07 that is suppressor ready is no longer offered. The P-09 i9s though.

If it was threaded, I think it would have said so. That's a big selling point.

Here is the link.  http://www.cabelas.com/stores/store_info.jsp?pageName=020

The item is bottom middle on page 6 in the Gun Club 2014 flyer. Price valid 2/6 thru 2/17.

Comparing the picture in the add to the one in the CZ 2013 catalog the barrel does not appear to be as long as the catalog one. The sights look different too.

Quote from 2013 Catalog:

This version of the P-07 Duty has been set up to accept a sound suppressor. The 1/2x28
threaded muzzle accepts most supressors made for the US market. The adjustable metal
sights on this variation are higher than normal to clear 1? diameter supressors and provide a
good sight picture with larger diameters when shooting with both eyes open.

It doesn't seem like a great deal to me? I.E. $500 + tax (6% here)=530 OTD. I searched a little and found a place with them in stock with free shipping for $440. Add in the FFL transfer fee say $35= $475 means a savings of $55. I am sure many of us can find an even cheaper FFL fee ($15 cheapest I found locally) for even more savings. For me it is also saving a 30-40 min drive each way to Cabela's compared to a 10-20 min. drive to a local FFL for the pickup. I have even have purchased three guns from Cabela's, but with guns even on sale their prices are often high. This is all not including any LGS that  might have good prices and not having to deal with shipping or an FFL fee.

I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet, but there is an extended barrel model.

http://www.kygunco.com/cz-p07-duty-9mm-161-night-sightsext-bbl-67157

GrabAGun has the same pistol...

HOWEVER...the link sent in75Plus' post was one in OD green...haven't seen that before.

Straight from CZ website on the P-07 for 2014.  It mentions different barrel lengths and finishes.  Explaining the extended barrel and OD finish.

Note- Some CZ-USA dealers order special versions that vary from the standard configuration. This might be a difference in sights, safety mechanisms, finish or accessory package. From time to time you may find a P-07 with an extended barrel, tactical light, tritium sights or safety levers only. There are a number of special versions we ship throughout the year.

If it was suppressor ready, the ad should mention it...as said earlier.

Havent been looking very hard, but haven't seen od green since about last June or so. Never did buy from Cabelas. Agreed. I also always thought they were a little pricey, but have never seen the threaded barrel + OD green with raised sights.
