Ya I was thinking about what to do next after I get this one finished up and kicked down the road maybe one like this

\

But then again after doing this I'm kind of sick of refinishing and might go back to a open gun building I'd really like to try my hand at a SP-01 with a milled slide for a red dot maybe some slide cuts and a comp.

I have always loved the Case Hardened Finish, but it seems only right for certain Gun Types
i.e. Old SA Revolvers, Lever Guns and SXS Shotguns
(IMHO) A Case Harden Finish seems as out of place on a Semi Auto Pistol as Hard Chroming a Flintlock Pistol

Indeed. I would probably do the easier not as cool looking oil bluing you can still getting some really nice purple and gold colors and when it wears its easy to touch up. Case hardening requires 1400 degrees and I wouldn't even want to try it.

I'm guessing this finish is often mistaken / pasted off for a Case Harden Finish though

And My mess up, this spot didn't turn out prefect so I thought maybe a little cold blue would fix it....nope turned something you could barely notice much worse.

Rebluing the magazine was a nice touch.  I probably wouldn't have thought of it...

Beautiful work Thompson!  That's very nice.

I picked up one of the blued 75B's that showed up this summer and I think it looks great.  Not quite as nice as TC's pre-B but the finish is good.

Just cannot appreciate enough; TC's royal blued CZ is a true head turner...a French supermodel in comparative terms.
