Cajunizing and Smoothing a CZ Rami BD
« on: February 23, 2014, 06:55:52 PM »
Here are the first two video's of my journey to install the Cajun Gun Works SRS kit and CZ Comp hammer on my Rami BD.

The first video shows how to install an extended firing pin.

The second video shows how to detail strip the Rami BD.

I will have more video's soon once I get them completed.  If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Here is the video that details how to assemble the CZ Rami BD.  I apologize for this taking so long to post.  I've been busy shooting and reloading and shooting and reloading...:)

Sorry,

Great videos, tdogg...  Thanks for making and posting them...

I don't have a RAMI, but it seems to be very similar to the SP-01 and Sp-01 Shadow that I do have...  Good tip on the ejector cage slave pin...  Didn't realize there was such a thing...  That will help me when I replace my trigger because I don't particularly want to take the sear apart (or have it fall apart) at that time...

Interested to see your competition hammer install video...  I'm considering a competition hammer for my SP-01 and wondering how much hand fitting it will require.

I was working on that video last night.  I realized that I didn't take any video during the sear/ejector cage assembly.  I need to make a video of that process as its the most difficult part.

The Rami is a decocker and has a different sear cage and hammer than the standard SP01.  You have to cut off one leg of the hammer hooks to clear the decocker lever in the sear cage.  I don't own a safety version and don't know what fitting is required.  I think you actually have to fit the safety leg.

I should have those videos soon.

Cheers,
Toby

Hope you get the videos going for IPad.  I am getting ready to upgrade my Rami BD this weekend, and it would be good to view your videos.  Are they on Utube?

Nice videos tdogg. I have the RAMI safety version so the sear assembly just pops out. Hammer retaining pin actually pulls out from inside the frame instead of pushing out from below the beaver tail.

Got a wild hair today and decided to strip it all the way down for the first time. Polished the internals while I had it apart and put it back together no problems.

RylanGivens,
If you go with a comp hammer and use the stock sear, it does take a lot of fitting to get the safety to catch and not have play.
You have to assemble everything check your safety, and pull apart and file tiny amounts at a time until the safety just catches with the hammer back, don't try to go large amounts at a time otherwise you may go too far.
The option is go CGW hammer kit with the adjustable sear, no filing just follow the directions and it speeds up the process a lot.
Both have a great end result but one is faster.

So I made these videos public on Youtube (from unlisted):

I don't know how to make these such that apple users can view?  I guess it is a flash issue?

Cheers,
Toby

I do not know what you did but your last post has all three videos showing on my IPad every time I have opened the post.  Thanks for taking the time to make the videos.  They are helpful.
