Dumb Question - I guess
« on: February 25, 2014, 08:09:05 PM »
Educate me on something. Is there (or was there) such a thing as a 75B Compact in addition to the 75 Compact? Or is that just a term which some people apply to a 75 Compact? And if there is (or was) a 75B Compact, how does/did it differ from the 75 Compact?  ???

If my understanding is correct, all of the compacts are B (firing pin Block) guns.

Earlier full sized guns would not have this, nor do the late Target(match) models, but this safety measure is incorporated into all others. You will find similar blocker s on other makes as it was some type mandate, even 1911 design autos.

D stands for decocker btw.

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong! ;)

NOT a dumb question at all.
I believe copemech got it.
They are all factory equipped with the firing pin block (B), but not specifically labelled as such.

So it's pretty much just a matter of some folks referring to the 75 Compact as a "75B Compact"?
